Welcome to the Discrimination and Harassment directory page. Here, you will find options for support and reporting if you're dealing with discrimination or harassment of any kind, including identity-based harassment and online harassment. 


1. Report Discrimination or Harassment

File a report against a student, staff or faculty member with options for report navigation, online/telephone reporting, anonymous reporting and confidential reporting.

 

  • Harassment & Discrimination Assistance and Prevention Program (HDAPP)
    HDAPP is responsible for addressing reports of identity-based discrimination or harassment, as well as reports of sexual violence or sexual harassment involving students, staff, and faculty. 
     
    • Report Hate and Bias
      • Use this portal to report discrimination and harassment related to protected categories.
      • For information about reporting sexual violence and sexual harassment, please see the Sexual Harassment, Violence, and Relationship Abuse page.  (*note this is the new tile name)
         
    • Request a No Contact Order (NCO)
      • NCOs at UC Davis are a directive that prohibits one student from contacting another student or individual that’s requested it.
         
  • Confidential Reporting
    Visit HDAPP’s Confidential Resources page to find private options for discussing cases of harassment or discrimination before making an official report.
     
  • Reporting Faculty Misconduct
    This guide provides steps for reporting concerning faculty conduct regarding freedom of expression, academic freedoms and safety. 
     
  • Reporting Student Misconduct
    Fill out this form to file a report of student misconduct.
     
  • Get Help Navigating the Reporting Process
    Support for individuals who are unsure how to proceed with a concern involving a student, staff, or faculty member.
     
  • UC Davis Police
    Report hate crimes directly to the UC Davis Police by calling 530-752-1727.

2. Support Resources

The following resources provide specialized or confidential support and may assist individuals in connecting with appropriate campus services.

  • Student Health and Counseling Services
    Student Counseling Services offers confidential, short-term therapy to all registered UC Davis students at no charge.
     
  • Free legal counsel
    ASUCD offers undergraduate students free 30-minute legal consultations with an attorney. For graduate and professional students, the GSA has a similar offering HERE.
     
  • Conflict Resolution Services
    The Ombuds office is a confidential, independent, impartial, and informal problem solving and conflict management resource for all members of the UC Davis campus community.

 

Sexual Orientation and Gender-Based Harassment/Discrimination

  • Center for Advocacy, Resources & Education (CARE)
    CARE provides confidential support, including advocacy and guidance on reporting sexual assault, sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, intimate partner violence, stalking, and gender identity and sexual orientation-based harassment. 
     
  • LGBTQIA Resource Center
    Offers advocacy, support and resources for LGBTQIA+ students. 
     
  • Women's Resources and Research Center
    Provides programs, support and resources for issues related to gender equity.
     
  • Trans Resources 
    Provides information and advocacy for trans and non-binary students, including a Trans Advocate at the LGBTQIA Resource Center Center, and the Trans Student Rights Toolkit.

 

Disability-Based Harassment/Discrimination

  • Student Disability Center (SDC)
    Offers support and advocacy for students facing discrimination or harassment based on ability.
     
  • Report Facility Accessibility Issues
    Submit notice of an ADA barrier on campus.

 

Race/Ethnicity-Based Harassment/Discrimination
 

  • Identity and Culture-Based Communities
    Connect with staff and other students based on your identity or culture through one of the resource centers on campus.
     

3. Police Accountability

  • File a Complaint Against a Police Officer or Security Personnel
    The UC Davis Police Department believes in accountability for all police officers. File a report with the Police Accountability Board if you believe you have experienced police misconduct, such as excessive force, discrimination, harassment or improper procedures. 
     
  • UC Davis Police Department Transparency Dashboard
    This dashboard centralizes reports, logs, and safety data, providing interactive visualizations to enhance transparency, accountability and community trust.


4. Doxing and Online Harassment

  • What is Doxing/Doxxing?
    Learn how it’s defined, how to protect yourself, and about reporting and support. 
     
  • Guide to Managing Doxing and Online Harassment
    Learn what steps to take if you become a target of doxing, cyberbullying, social media trolling or other online harassment. This guide connects you with support and protective measures.
     
  • Scams and Fraud
    This site provides descriptions of some common scams that students and scholars may encounter and how to avoid them.
