Joining us are three campus leaders who have helped shape the direction of COVID-19 research on campus. We'll talk about why UC Davis has been at the forefront of COVID-19 research and what excites these leaders the most about the work being done here.
- Alison Brashear is Dean of the UC Davis School of Medicine. Dr. Brashear leads a school that is at the forefront of COVID-19 testing and research, and is ranked seventh nationally in primary care.
- Michael Lairmore is Dean of the School of Veterinary Medicine where he oversees all teaching, research and service activities, among other things. The UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine is both the largest and also the Number One Vet Med school in the country.
- Prasant Mohapatra is Vice Chancellor for Research at UC Davis. He oversees research throughout the university. And he helps connect researchers from different schools and disciplines, so they can work together in innovative ways to meet today's challenges.
