CASE Honors Campus Storytelling

UC Davis Receives 36 “Best of District VII” Awards

News
On a rainy day, a student in a black parka opens a glass door and enters a museum lobby. The glass door and its nearby wall are covered with photographs of UC Davis students standing next to the Egghead sculptures created by Robert Arneson.
Photos sourced from the broader UC Davis community as part of the exhibit "Hatched: The Making of Robert Arneson's Eggheads" at the Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art. The exhibit and photo installation were part of the "Year of the Eggheads" event series that received a CASE "Best of District VII" award. (Alysha Beck/UC Davis)

Telling unique stories about the initiatives and people that make UC Davis thrive is essential to the many colleges and research centers that define campus life.

Recently, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, or CASE, honored UC Davis with 36 “Best of District VII” awards.

District VII encompasses five Western U.S. states and two territories. These awards recognize and celebrate outstanding programs and individuals, and highlight campus-wide campaigns, like the “Year of the Eggheads,” as well as department-specific online magazines, video series and much more.

In July, UC Davis also received 10 CASE Circle of Excellence Awards, including three Grand Gold awards.
