The UC Davis Fire Department responded to an apartment fire in the Solano housing area about 11:30 p.m. Saturday (May 8). One person was rescued by firefighters and transported to UC Davis Medical Center. The fire was brought under control within a few minutes of the rescue being completed.  

Other residents of the apartment block are being temporarily rehoused. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the UC Davis fire marshal and the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
