Summer brings sunshine, good vibes and the seasonal question: What’s open on campus? Here’s your guide to what’s open and closed this summer. 

Several locations across campus will offer weekday food and coffee services, with adjusted seasonal hours. Make sure to check each specific location’s website for the most updated hours and menus. 

Coffee House, CoHo South

Reduced hours will begin later this week: The Coffee House will have limited service on Friday (June 13) and the following Monday-Wednesday, June 16-18, with only two platforms open: Swirlz from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., and Ciao from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The CoHo will close June 19 for the Juneteenth holiday, and will remain closed through June 22.

The CoHo South Café will be closed June 13-22.

Coffee House 

• Weekdays:
  • Swirlz: 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Ciao: 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Marketplace (drinks and grab and go): 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Deli Bagels: 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Deli Sandwiches: 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • TxMx: 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Chickpea: 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
• Closed weekends, July 4 and Sept. 1 

CoHo South Café 

• Open weekdays 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
• Closed weekends, July 4 and Sept. 1 

Dining Services

Dining Services operates a page listing all open facilities. Several will close for the summer at the end of this week (Latitude’s last day for the summer will be Wednesday, while Segundo and Cuarto will stay open through Thursday). Beginning June 23, Tercero will be the only Dining Common open for summer. Here’s an overview of what’s closed and open, and make sure to check the Dining Services website for updated menus:

• Tercero DC: closes at 8 p.m. on June 12 and remains closed for the following week. Summers hours starting June 23:
  • Breakfast: 7-8:30 a.m.
  • Lunch: 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • Dinner: 5-7 p.m.
• Tercero Market (starting June 23): Weekdays 9 a.m.-8 p.m. and weekends noon-8 p.m.
• Segundo Market, Cuarto Market and Silo Market will close for the summer starting June 13.
• Sage Street Café and Market (starting June 23): The café is open weekdays 8 a.m.-2 p.m. The market is open weekdays 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
• Scrubs Café (starting June 23): Open weekdays, serving coffee 7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Grill and hot/cold bar service from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. The menu changes daily.
• Spokes (starting June 23): Weekdays, 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
• Peet’s Coffee:
  • At the ARC (starting June 16): Weekdays 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • California Coffee (starting June 13): closed for summer
  • King Hall (starting June 23): Weekdays 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • Silo (starting June 23): Weekdays 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
• The Gunrock and Crepe Bistro closed for the summer on June 6.
• Food trucks are scheduled to be at the Silo Patio each weekday. 

Shields Library, 24-Hour Study Room

Shields Library’s summer hours vary by week, and are posted online. The library’s 24-Hour Study Room is open during the summer.

Transportation Services, Unitrans

Over the summer, paid parking permits will still be required on all weekdays. Transportation Services’ motorist assistance continues to be available to help those who are locked out of their vehicles, or need a jump start or a tire inflated. Motorist assistance can be reached at 530-754-3687 weekdays from 7:15 a.m.-4:45 p.m. 

Unitrans is operating on its summer schedule beginning June 13, and is preparing for pass price increases that go into effect Aug. 4. The cash fare to ride Unitrans will remain unchanged at $1.50. Other passes will be priced as follows:

• 10-ride ticket: $9.50 (was $8.50)
• Monthly pass: $38 (was $34)
• Quarterly pass: $97 (was $87)
• Annual pass: $270 (was $245)
